Make Your Own Rickety Bridge Things You Will Need
2) Gloves 3) A Hammer 4) An Electric saw (With A Hacksaw Blade) 8) 1x 16ft Long Timber 3" by 4" 9) Loads of screws (I use decking screws) Step 1
Do you have all the things on my lists above good now we can
start
You’ll need the gloves eye protection and the electric saw
with hacksaw blade
Ok take the palettes and use the electric saw (with hacksaw
blade) to cut the slates off
if you put the blade between the slate and the base of the palette
and cut there the hack saw blade should cut through quick and hit the nails
that the palettes are fixed to
Gether with. (you can
try a hammer and chisel but it breaks to many of them)
Step 2
Ok now you done that you need to fine the centre of all of
them once this is done
You can draw a line across them this is where you will drill
to 8mm holes for the screws you’ll need a lose fit or when people tread on them
the screws will bend to much and break (trust me they do )
Step 3 Ok did you do that? Good now screw them to the 3" side of the 16ft long timber it doesn’t matter if they are strait or not as this will only add to the effect
Step 4 Ok you need to do now is screw two bits from the bottom of the palettes to each end of the 16ft piece of timber to steady it all up and your done
All that’s left now is to stand back admire your handy work or in my case run up and down it to test it out
Remember safety first because if chop something off your neighbours will only put in there yard haunt. have fun play safe
