Make Your Own Hands

Things You Will Need

1)  A Hand

2)   Liquid Latex

3)   Thickening Agent

4)   Penco Plaster 1Kg Bag Will Do To Hands

5)   Hair dryer

6)   Talcum powder

7)   An old juice bottle or a container that your hand fits in

8)   Paint Brush

9)   Washing line pegs

Step 1

Wash your hands and shave any hair on the back of your hand and your wrist (trust me you must do this and don’t do what I did I shaved one hand and I put the liquid latex the other hand OUCH)

Step 2

Put some old news paper on the floor   

Pour the liquid latex in to a shallow container

Plug in the hair dryer

Step 3

Ok its time to start painting your hand with the liquid latex

Take your time and let it dry

You can speed up drying time by using a hair dryer

After 6 thin coats you can mix some of the thickener to the liquid latex

      You have left in your container  

You will need to do a total of 15 to 20 coats the more the better as it will help

Keep the shape once you have taken it off your hand keep the liquid latex on your hand for 30 minuets after the last coat

Step 4

Wasn’t that fun

Now the liquid latex should be dry  

Wait don’t peel it of yet I don’t now some people

Put talcum powder over the latex that’s on your hand

Ok now you can peel off the latex

Step 5 

Now its time to peg your new rubber hand to one side of the juice bottle

Now mix 2 parts plaster to 1 part water this will do for one hand

Pour your plaster in to your mould

And leave it to dry for 1 hour before taking your new hand out

Now all you have to do is paint it up have fun
